The ‘27s’ Are Canceled: Blocking the Past, Reclaiming My Future

Well, darlings, the “27s” have finally been retired from my life. You know, the ones who peaked at 27 and never evolved… still clinging to outdated politics and pretending to be saintly while doing the same old messy routines. 

The “27s” are a crew of about a dozen or so, a not-so-magnificent band that never aged past their prime… or so they believe. While I’ve been evolving, these ladies are still stumbling through life’s afterparty, doing shots of hypocrisy and dancing to outdated tunes. I used to laugh with them… now I’m laughing at how predictable they’ve become. It’s more sad than funny honestly.

What truly makes the 27s legendary in their own minds is their ability to wave flags of righteousness while tripping over their own contradictions. They claim to be virtuous, but their real talent is doing the splits between Sunday sermons and Saturday night chaos. One’s flashing more than opinions… and honey, when you’re pushing 70, it’s time to retire the shock factor. Another’s reliving her glory days, thinking life’s still a stage… except the audience left the building…(years ago) that fiancé that left her standing at the alter was genius.

But here’s the real reason this act has been canceled: Their politics. They align with those stripping away rights… my rights. So, while they’re stuck in their eternal adolescence, I’ve deleted, blocked, and moved on. And yes, there were a few fringe friends tangled in that mess… ones I actually liked. But when you’ve got a toxic circle, you sometimes have to cut the whole chain. It sucks, but separating the good from the chaos was just too exhausting. So, snip, snip… clean slate. The ones worth it will understand, because I’m done dealing with anyone who gives airtime to that nonsense.

They might read this, they might gossip. But while they’re still playing the same old track, I’m out here hitting new milestones. Enjoy your reruns, ladies… I’m starring in a brand-new show.
